DESCRIPTION:**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL – THANK YOU\n\nThe ancient tradition of Beating the Bounds of Adel Parish will take place on Saturday 24th May 2025\nThe walk starts at 08.30 from the Old Stables, Back Church Lane, Adel.\nJoin us for all (14/15 miles) or just for part of the walk.\nThe Route\n1. We leave the Old Stables at 8.30am and head down Stairfoot Lane to join the Meanwood Valley Trail (Adel Beck), via the Seven Arches to the Ring Road underpass. We continue via Valley Farm and the Cricket Ground to Adel Lane, thence via Bodington Manor to Lawnswood Cemetery arriving at the toilets about 10.10am for a short stop.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ ​3½ miles\n2. Leaving the Cemetery, we follow footpaths via Paul’s Pond to Golden Acre arriving at the café around 11.30am.  We will stay here for around half an hour for a packed lunch or lunch at the café. ​2½ miles\n​3. At 12.00am, we set off through Golden Acre, and along Blackhill Road to Bank Top to join the Ebor Way.  Then along the scenic Bank Top Lane & Allums Lane and up Bedlam Lane to Bank End arriving around 1.15pm for a short stop.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ 2½ miles\n4. Leaving Bank End, we go down the hill to the Harewood Estate.  There we continue on the Leeds Country Way past Stub House Farm and ‘Emmerdale’ Village to reach Eccup Reservoir around 2.40pm.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ 2½miles\n5. After another short stop, the final leg takes us over the dam & round to Reservoir House.
